South Windsor, Connecticut 06074
Dear Mr. Sprenkel:
We have reviewed plans for subsurface sewage disposal for Lots 1 and 2 of a
proposed 15-lot subdivision owned by Morton Shimelman and Joseph Vinick located
on Main Street in South Windsor. Plans were prepared by Morton S. Fine and
Associates, Inc., and submitted to our office for review due to observed ground
water conditions.
Plans indicate aground water intercepting drain will be installed on both lots
to control seasonally high ground water conditions as observed in soil testing
conducted during the wet period of the year. it is recommended the following
changes be made to the proposed system to assure effective operation:
1. 1&Xj `t elevations for both systems should be 2 feet
original soil at depth not ex-
ceeding 3 feet. Proposed systems are presently set -5 to 5 feet deep.
2. Ends of leaching trenches should be connected to permit equal distribution.
3• Location of septic tank must be at least 25 feet from arocosed c.gLta .d_
as required by Code.
The proposed subsurface sewage disposal system with above-listed chang nr: .
eorporated represents a satisfactory system which meets Code requir
may be approved.
If you have any questions, please call,me.
