On November 24, 1975, the writer at the request of Mr. Melvin Edwards., Jr.,
suet, of.Pollution Control and Acting Health Officer, collected a sample ,-
from:the of Wendell Hayden. Mr. Hayden had reported complaints of tid? ' ;
odor and taste to Mr. Edwards. The sample taken, #4093,", revealed a
count of 29 boliform colonies/100 ml. An inspection at the site revealed
that the well cap was buried in the front, P yard and a satisfactory distance
from any source of pollution. No overflowing septic systems were noted
in the area. The writer notified Mr. Hayden of the results of the sample
and instructed him to chlorinate the well on December 9, 1975. The well
was resampled on December 17, 1975. The results of sample #44316 revealed
: zero coliform colonies/100 mi.
