Page - Planning Coordinator FROM : Melvin Edwards, Jr. - Sanitary Inspector DATE : 22 July, 1976 SUBJECT : PLAN PREPARED FOR MARIO & ERICA CICERO, REVISED 07-08-76 After reviewing the subject map, I offer the following observations on the plan: 1. Proposed Leaching System. Having witnessed the testing on this particular parcel, I feel that leaching pits should make an ideal system for this house. This can be easily seen by glancing at the deep test data on the subject plan. The pits should allow optimum percolation through the sand found below five feet (5') during testing; and, if installed as designed, will provide the required effective area for leaching for the fifteen-minute (15') percolation rate. 2. Well Location. From Division records showing the location of the septic system for 336 Deming Street, from the supposed location of the system for 376 Deming Street and from the proposed location of the system for the new house, placement of the .well for the new house is, going to be quite critical. This is necessary in order to achieve compliance with Section 19-13-B20f of the Public Health Code, which spells out a minimum separating distance of seventy-five feet (75') between any part of a sewage disposal system and a well for a single residential dwelling. Based on the above I have indicated a suggested location on the attached drawing. 3. Future Re-division. Should Mr. & Mrs. Cicero, at some future time, consider further sub-division of this property I strongly recommend that the minimum allow- able frontage on Felt Road for this house be set at two-hundred feet (2001). This will permit sufficient reserve leaching area and still maintain all minimum separating distances as provided in Health Code Section 19-13-B20f in the event that Felt Road has not as yet been extended and sewered to Deming Street. In conclusion, I see no reason why satisfactory leaching will not be attained with this proposal; nor do I note any violations of the Public Health Code.
