Dear Mel:
The results obtained from the percolation test
conducted by your firm on October 25, 1972 at the property
of Joyce and John F. Jurgelas Jr. onMhapel Road, South
Windsor are tabulated below. The test hole shall be-
refer-enced and designated as to location an your plot of the
premises.
The test hole, 12 inches in diameter and 30 inches
deep, was excavated, and a peg set at a height of 18 inches
from the bottom of the hole. The hole was filled with water
up to the pea and the rate of drawdorwn recorded as sham in
the second tabulation.

The above percolation test results show the site to
have from sodium to slew relative absorption characteristics
to a depth of 18 inches below the surface. It should be pointed
out that the poor absorption indicated at a depth greater than
18 inches below the surface is undoubtedly due, in large part,
to the blockage of the soil porosity at those depths by colloidal
clay particles filtered out of the water and onto the pit calls.
In a properly constructed leaching field this condition should -
not be. duplicated.
Very truly -
yo
