Dear Attorney Throwe:
At your request, I have inspected the Town records with regard
to the designated street name of a street located at the end
of the present turn-around of Glendale Road, and proceeding
southerly, abutting a subdivision entitled "Subdivision of
Parcel A into Lot * #1 and Lot #2 and land of Andre Charbonneau;
Edwin Road, South Windsor, Connecticut; Scale l" = 401 ;
10 September 1973; F. V. Rossi, P,E, "
It is my opinion, based upon this perusal of Town records,
that the name of this street is "Edwin Road. " This is the
logical and proper name for this road, since it is likely
that at some future time Glendale Road, as it exists presently,
will be extended westerly. In fact, sometime ago, preliminary
plans for this westerly extension were drawn and considered
by Town agencies.
The subdivision to the south of this area, which shows this
north/south road being named Glendale Road, is in error.
