Young Director of Public Works Re: Foster Road Drainage Based on the Engineering Bureau current work load, and after discussion with Lester and Mel, I recommend that we hire a Land Surveyor to obtain the necessary infor- mation on Foster Road. This will be the most efficient and quickest method to obtain the necessary baseline information we need. The Engineering Bureau could then design the drainage system, using the baseline information. Page Town Engineer/Planner JEIjfnl ` 4 / MEMORANDUM August 18, 1975 Re: Seventh Day Adventist School - Foster Road Truman Hills applied for a Pavement Cut Permit to put a lift . in Foster Road in front of the driveway to the parking lot of the above-mentioned school. Upon inspection and checking of grades and plans, I found the parking lot grades differing from the approved Site Development Plan. Mr. Carlson, Superintendent at the site, informed me that they had changed both the building and parking lot elevations. Had they continued as they .planned, there is good reason to believe that it could have caused a water and ice problem in Foster Road. I refused the Permit, and advised Mr. Carlson to revise the drainage in a manner which would relieve any water problems in the street. I would suggest that this situation be carefully checked and approved by the Town prior to issuing their Certificate of Occupancy. Also, I suggest site approval by the Town on the adjacent properties, in order that any future problems not arise. Lester A. Sprenkel Re: Foster Road Public Water Supply Norman Petersen has informed me that he has been notified by the MDC Water Bureau that there is a proposal to extend the public water on Foster Road, north, to serve the new Seventh-Day Adventist Church School. This would bring the public water past the intersection of our new Burgess Road and Foster Road. Although we have not anticipated this in our coming budget, I strongly recommend that we communicate with the MDC, and express our agreement with their plans for this public water extension. If this extension becomes a reality, perhaps in the fiscal year 1976 we could then budget funds for construction of a wager service into the Town Garage. I believe such a letter of agreement should come from the chief executive official of the community; however, if you wish, I will draft such a letter for your signature. f Emi W.
