The Town is requesting that you trim the trees and/or bushes that are hanging over the sidewalk to ensure that the sidewalk is passable for pedestrians. In accordance with the Town of South Windsor Ordinance Section 50-74 Public Nuisance, I am. notifying you that the sidewalk abutting your property along Bridle Wood Road must be completely cleared of all overhanging trees and/or brush within 20 days of this letter. The area to be cleared of vegetation should extend at least eight feet high above the sidewalk and at least one foot beyond the sidewalk on each side. Enclosed are copies of digital photographs of the area in question and a copy of the Ordinance for your information. The Town will re-inspect this sidewalk after it has been cleared. If you have any questions, or require additional information, please call the Engineering Department at 644-2511, Extension 344. James Throwe 33 Connecticut Boulevard East Hartford, Connecticut Dear Attorney Thrower At your request, I have inspected the Town records with regard to the designated street name of a street located at the end of the present turn-around of Glendale Road, and proceeding southerly, abutting a 'subdivision entitled "Subdivision of Parcel A into Lot ##1 and Lot #2; and land of Andre Charbonneau; Edwin Road, South Windsor, Connecticut; Scale l" 401 ; 10 September 1973; F. V. Rossi, P.E. " It is my opinion, based upon this perusal of Town records, that the name of this street is "Edwin Road. " This is the logical and proper name for this road, since it is likely . that at some future time Glendale Road, as it exists presently, will be extended westerly. In fact, sometime ago, preliminary plans for this westerly extension were drawn and considered by Town agencies. The subdivision to the south of this area, which shows this north/south road being named Glendale Road, is in error. If I may be of any further assistance, please feel free to call me.
