Dear Sir:
I am writing this letter to you as a follow-up to our recent telephone conversation
concerning a potentially dangerous situation that currently exists on Bancroft Lane.
The situation has been created by brush,bushes, and trees growing wild in
wooded areas abutting Bancroft Lane and extending into the roadway. This overgrowth
has now extended into the roadway to the point where visibility for passing motorists has
been obscured.
The area is populated by families with young children who must use the roadway
to pass on because sidewalks have not been installed. As you can see, children walking
in a roadway with obscured, or limited visibility for passing motorists, is an accident
waiting to happen.
In our previous conversations you indicated a conflict existed between the Town
and Mr. Gorski, the developer, and that you were awaiting a ruling from the Town of
South Windsor Legal Counsel.
I would respectfully suggest that this issue be addressed and that the dangerous
situation remedied before we experience an accident.
