Dear Mr. Bellody:
This letter is to inform you that a permit to construct a baghouse
filter at 1370 John Fitch Blvd. , South Windsor has been granted.
This permit does not relieve you of the responsibility to comply with
the requirements of the other appropriate Federal , State, and municipal
agencies, nor is it transferable from one permittee to another, from one
location to another, or from one piece of equipment to another. The
proposed installation shall be completed in conformity with the submitted
application and plans.
After construction has been completed, but before initial startup of the
unit, you must apply for a permit to operate by contacting Mr. Richard J.
Dzis, the engineer who evaluated your construction permit application.
Such a request may be made in writing or by calling the Air Compliance
Permit Section at 566-3160.
After the notification has been received, the unit may be operated for
ten calendar days for the sole purpose of making initial adjustments.
Before a permit to operate can be issued, an inspection of the unit,
while it is in operation, by a representative of the Department of
Environmental Protection shall be required. This permission to operate
for adjustment purposes shall in no way be construed as permission to
create a nuisance while awaiting final inspection.
The permit card, when received, must be signed and posted for easy
access at the construction site.
