It includes a Schedul of Sp cial Inspections applicable to this project as well as the name of the Special Inspector, and th id ntity of other approved agencies intended to be retained for conducting these inspections. The Special Inspector shall keep records of all inspections, and shall furnish inspection reports to the code official and to the structural engineer and architect of record. If such discrepancies are not corrected, the discrepancies shall be brought to the attention of the code official and the structural engineer and architect of record. The special inspection program does not relieve the contractor of his or her responsibilities. Interim reports shall be submitted to the code official, owner, structural engineer and architect of record. A schedule of interim reports shall be approved by the Code Official prior to permit issuance. A final report of inspections documenting completion of all required special inspections and correction of any discrepancies noted in the inspections shall be submitted prior to the issuance of a certificate of use and occupancy. Shallow Foundations4nsitu 4 Verify suitability of subgrade prior to start of backfilling operations,within the building footprint. Verify capacity of bearing stratum prior to placement of footings. 2. Controlled Structural Fill 2 For each subgrade,fill and backfill material. Perform one moisture-density relationship test for each 1,500 cubic yards of material or fraction thereof. Inplace Density Tests: One test per lift for every 1,500 SF. Mix Design 1 Review concrete mix designs for footings, piers, walls, foundations, supported slabs, and slabs on grade for conformance with spec. requirements. 2. Material Certification 1 Review mill certificates for conformance with spec. requirements. 3. Reinforcement Installation 1 Inspect all reinforcing steel for conformance with requirements. 4. Post-Tensioning Operations NA 5. Batching Plant 1 Review batching operations prior to start of project and once a month during the concreting operations for this project. 6 Formwork Geometry 1 Review for conformance. 7. Concrete Placement 2 Verify conformance with slump, air content and temperature requirements for each strength test and as required to assure conformance. 8. Evaluation of Concrete 2 One set of cylinders per 50 cubic yards or portion thereof. Strength One set of cylinders per 3,500 SF of floor or wall area or portion thereof. 9.
