RE: Residence at 171 Bourbon Street
Dear Mr . D'Auria:
Please accept this letter as an expression of intent to license a
residence located at 171 Bourbon Street, South Windsor, as a
community residence for mentally retarded persons pursuant to
Section 19a-467 of the General Statutes. The Corporation for
Independent Living has purchased this home and the licensee will
be Connecticut Community Support Services, Inc.
The Corporation for Independent Living needs a building permit to
commence renovations and eventually a Certificate of Occupancy.
I have indicated in previous letters, the Department of Mental
Retardation cannot formally license the residence until you issue
its Certificate of Occupancy. The residence is not scheduled for
occupancy until late winter of 1989 . No residents will be
allowed into the home until a C.O. is issued and DMR issues a
license.

I hope you find this letter to be a satisfactory expression of
intent so that the necessary permits may be issued. If you have
any questions you, or South Windsor' s Corporation Counsel , may
call me at your convenience.
Very truly yours,
JOSEPH I . LIEBERMAN
