State of Connecticut and having its principal office in the Town +
of Berlin, County of Hartford, in said State, for the consideration
of a valuable sum in dollars and other valuable considerations re-
ceived to its full satisfaction of DIANE M. PRENDERGAST, of the
Town of South Windsor, in said County and State, does give, grant,
bargain, sell and confirm unto the said DIANE M. PRENDERGAST a car-

of South Windsor, and reference to which is hereby made, and being
more particularly bounded and described as follows: l

EAST - by Chippewa Road, 123.27 feet;
SOUTH - by land now or formerly of J. M. Riester, at us.,
as shown on said map, 625.35 feet; and

A portion of said premises constitutes a cul-de-sac, as
shown on the above mentioned map or plan, over which a right
of way shall exist until said Chippewa Road is extended south.
The Grantor expressly reserves to itself, and its suc-
cessors and aaeigna, a perpetual easement, privilege and right of
way three hundred (300) feet wide for electric lines for the trans-
mission of electric currents of any character necessary or conven-
ient from time to time in the conduct of the Grantor's business, '
and the right at any and all times and from time to time to erect,
inspect, operate, use, patrol and permanently maintain the said
lectric lines upon, over and across so much of the land herein
conveyed as lies within seventy-five (75) feet measured at right
angles to and northwesterly of, and within two hundred twenty-five
(225) feet measured at right angles to and southeasterly of the
following described line of location, whether such line of loca-
tion is, at the point opposite such land, on said land, or on
land of some other party.
Said line of location runs N 420 561 E across land now
or formerly of Joseph M. and Albina C. Riester to a monument mark-
ing an angle in said line of location; thence N 360 46, E 173.8
fe t, more or less, across said land to a copper pin in the boun-
dary line between said land and the land herein conveyed, which
copper pin Is located 387.8 feet measured westerly from a copper
Pin located on the westerly side of Chippewa Road marking the
southeasterly corner of the land herein conveyed; thence said line
of location entering the land herein conveyed continues N 360 461
E 129.4 feet, more or less, to a copper pin in the boundary line
between the land herein conveyed and other land of the Grantor,
which copper pin is located 332.4 feet, measured westerly from an
iron pipe located on the westerly side of Chippewa Road marking
th northeasterly corner of the land herein conveyed; thence said
line of location leaving the land herein conveyed continues N 360
461 E across said other land of the Grantor.
The above bearings are referred to the True Meridian.
Said land and said right of way are more clearly desig-
nated and shown on a map entitled: "The Connecticut Llght do Power
Company Berlin, Connecticut Job Clark St. Jct.-Barbour Hill
Title Plan showing land to be Conveyed to Diane M. Prendergast,
Town of South Windsor Scale 1"=1001 Date 1-7-65 No. 17304C",
a copy of which map has been or will be filed for record with the
Town Clerk in said Town of South Windsor.
Said electric lines may consist of poles, towers, other
supporting structures (which may be substituted one for the other
at any time), circuits, cables, wires, cross-arms, guy wires,
anchors, guy stubs and other overhead and underground appurtenances
and fixtures, any or all of which constituent parts of said electric
lin s may be erected, relocated, replaced, repaired or changed in
number, size or type from time to time.
This Grantor also reserves the perpetual right to trim,
out, take down and remove, at any and all times, such treea, parts
of trees, limbs, branches, underbrush and structures, within or
projecting into the above described right of way, as in its Judgment
may interfere with or endanger any of said electric lines or their
op ration whenever they are erected, and the right to control the
growth of such underbrush by the use of chemicals or otherwise.

The Grantor also reserves the•,perpetual right to enter
on, pass and transport materials along and over said right of
y to and from adjoining lands of others or highways.
The said electric lines shall remain the property of
Grantor, its successors and assigns.
The Grantee and her heirs and assigns shall have the
fight, however, to use the land, except for atructurea, beneath
etid electric lines and elsewhere within said right of way, pro- f
idad such use shall rat interfere with or obstruct the rights
rein reserved or endanger said electric lines or their operation, F
snever they are erected.
The Grantee, by the acceptance of this deed, agrees that
; any part of the above described land upon or over which said
sotric lines shall be located is now or shall hereafter become a
s- blio street or highway or a part thereof, permission, as provided
the General Statutes of Connecticut relating to adjoining land
owners, is hereby given to the Grantor to use that pant for the
poses and in the manner above described.
