EFFECTIVE DATE: October 19, 1985 Application #1631-85, Craiq Tully Board members concurred that granting a variance within 21 feet of the side line was not in keeping with the character of the neighborhood. It was -determ that the 18 foot garage, which Mr. Tully indicated he could live with, would require a 111 foot variance. Mr. Eriksson moved to grant a variance to Section 5.2 of the Zoning Regulatior to allow a 111 foot variance for a garage addition within the required side y f at property located at 153 Maskel Road, South Windsor (RR Zone) . He noted that 100 foot frontages are usually associated with A-20 Zones, which require a 10-foot side yard. He also noted that the -pool and grading in the rear of the lot make the proposed location the most practical place for the garage. The motion was seconded by Mr. Earley and voted unanimously in favor. EFFECTIVE DATE: October 19, 1985 9 Application #1632-85, Elizabeth C. Burrill Mr. Murrin stated that he thought the variance should only be 30 feet, rather than 35 feet,so that this structure is set back further than either of the two existing structures on Felt Road. Other Board members felt that there was no , reason not to give the 35 foot variance as long as the corner sight line is clear. A Mr. Eriksson moved to grant a variance to Section 5.2 of the Zoninq RecTulations, to allow a 30-foot building line at property owned by Elizabeth C. Burrill, located at 277-297 Oakland Road, South Windsor, subject to site plan approval by the Wouth Windsor Planning and Zoning Commission. He noted that: ( 1) the proposed buildinq will be placed on a corner lot which requires a 65-foot set back on both roads; (2) the 65-foot set back requireme will be maintained on Oakland Road; (3) Felt Road is an unimproved dead-end r and (4) the two existinq structures on Felt Road are set back approximately same distance as the proposed building. The motion was seconded by Mrs. Cottle. Cottle, Eriksson, Earley and Warren favor; Murrin Opposed. The motion was carried and so ordered. EFFECTIVE DATE: October 19, 1985 Application #1633-85 - Madeleine J. B. Manion Mr. Earley moved to approve a two-year temporary and conditional permit to allow Mrs. Manion to have an in-family apartment at her property known as 52 Mark Drive, South Windsor. He noted that this is a family situation, and approval does not make this Pro income-producing. If the family situation should chanq_e, the home will haVe be restored to a one-family condition. 2579 West Temple Street Chandler, Arizona 85224 October 2, 1985 Mr. Craig Tully 153 Maskel Road South Windsor, CT 06074 Lear Craig: Per our phone conversation regarding your proposed garage addition to the south side of your house, I have no objection to this project providing the addition meets all local codes. If however, a variance is required, I hereby give you permission to have the structure no closer than 10 (ten) feet from my property line or to infringe upon the existing set-back by an additional 5 (five) feet, whichever is further from my property line. I do suggest that you have a land survey performed prior to the commencement of any construction to ensure that the structure will comply with all town codes, including the deviation granted above. I trust that this letter will allow you to construct your addition. If you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me. Very truly yours, Kenneth P.
