Dear Ms. Burnham:
RE: CIRCULAR DRIVEWAY AT 167 AVERS ROAD
We received your request dated July 2, 2003, to install a new circular driveway at this address. We
have reviewed your request for conformance to the Public Improvement Specifications Manual.
Unfortunately,the driveway does not conform with the Town's standards for a circular driveway:
1. Two driveway curb cuts are not allowed on "collector" streets (these are streets that carry
higher volumes of traffic).Ayers Road is a collector street.
2. When two driveway curb cuts are allowed, they must be separated by at least 50 feet.
Based on these criteria,we are unable to grant permission for a circular driveway at this location. We
note that a turnaround area in your driveway will also address the safety concerns you referred to in
your letter.
