Dear Michele,
I am in the process of having a ground mounted solar system installed for my home at 45
Newberry Road.
My desire is to place the solar array in a manner which will have the least impact on my
home and still have the correct orientation for efficiency. Between the residence and the
solar array I plan to provide a buffering of some type —which will further encroach on the
yard.
Since the farms to the East and South are family land and currently in the process of
being accepted by the State for their development rights program I request that the
Planning and Zoning Commission waive concerns for side yards and property ownership
provided I have a 30 year lease recorded on the deed, which authorizes me to place the
array in the best location for efficiency. Both the company and I would agree that any
future use of the property would have to meet side yard and ownership requirements
satisfactory to the town's regulations.
I am only requesting this because we have 25 acres of land surrounding the array. In no
way am I advocating a laxness on the placing of solar arrays which may be unfair to
neighbors.
Sincerely
-7"0v
