Purpose and description of all proposed regulated activity(s) including amount of disturbance in square feet and types of fill and the time element involved: Remediation is being performed under TSCA Order# 01-2015-0049 directed by the EPA and coordinated with the CTDEEP PCB Unit. PCB impacted soils will be removed and replaced with clean fill similar to existing conditions within the wetland during low water/dry weather conditions. Alternatives considered are in-situ bioremediation. Source removal of residual PCB contaminated soils is more effective and timely than bioremediation. Removal of residual contaminated soils in the wetland will have a positive impact on the overall quality of the wetland. Time element: Start ASAP with an estimated duration of one month. Total remediation in regulated area: 2,762 ft^2 (0.063 acres). Disturbance to Upland Review area: 0. Disturbance to Wetland: 2,762 ft^2 (0.063 acre) I.
