Re: Commercial truck
Dear Ms. Kerce:
This office has gone by your property at 496 Oakland Road numerous
times in the past month, and has seen a large box truck parked on the
side yard. Section 3.2. 1B Commercial Vehicles of the Town Zoning
regulations only allows one commercial vehicle to be parked on
residential property provided such vehicle is a van or pick-up type vehicle.
A copy of the regulation is included for your review.
Please remove the box truck from your property by June 27, 2016 to avoid
enforcement action by this office. You can contact me at (860) 644-2511,
extension 251 if you have any questions. Thank you for your prompt
attention to this request.

Re: Commercial truck
Dear Ms. Kerce:
This office contacted you earlier this year regarding the large box truck
parked in the side yard. At that time, you were notified that Section 3.2. 1B
Commercial Vehicles of the Town Zoning regulations only allows one
commercial vehicle to be parked on residential property provided such
vehicle is a van or pick-up type vehicle. A copy of the regulation was
included for your review at that time.
Currently, a dump truck has been seen parked in the side yard. This
vehicle does not meet the allowed criteria of a pick-up type vehicle and
therefore violates the Town zoning regulations.
Please remove the dump truck from your property by January 5, 2017 to
avoid enforcement action by this office. You can contact me at (860)

NOTICE OF VIOLATION

Location: 496 Oakland Road, South Windsor
Dear Ms. Kerce:
I sent you a letter on December 22, 2016 regarding the presence of a
dump truck on your property at 496 Oakland Road.
You were advised that the Town of South Windsor does not allow this type
of commercial vehicle to be parked on a residential property, and
requested to remove the truck by January 5, 2017.
A site inspection on January 17, 2017 showed that the truck is still parked
on your property. The continued presence of this dump truck is a violation
of Section 3.2. 1B Commercial Vehicles.
CORRECTIVE ACTION REQUIRED: Remove the dump truck by January 30,
2017.
