Dear Mr. & Mrs. Burek:
It has come to my attention that the minor home occupation business
being operated out of your home at 22 Fitch Meadow Lane has
expanded beyond what is allowed under the Town Regulations and the
permit issued.
While the Town of South Windsor allows a resident to operate a minor
home occupation business out of their home, the business must meet the
criteria specified in the regulations and the permit. In general,
landscaping businesses are not allowed in a residential zone. In issuing the
minor home occupation in 2012, the permit specifically stated that there
would be no equipment stored or maintained at 22 Fitch Meadow Lane
and the home would be used only for an office.
Please remove any equipment associated with the landscape business
from your property by May 6, 2016 to avoid enforcement action from this
