Dear Mr. & Mrs. Chaudhry:
It has come to my attention that there is a business being operated out of
your home at 7 Drake Court. It appears that the business, Eimaan LLC,
was registered with the State of Connecticut on July 5, 2011 .
Please be advised that while the Town of South Windsor allows a resident
to operate a business out of their home, the business must meet the
criteria specified in the regulations, and a permit must be obtained prior
to the start of business. A review of my files does not show a permit being
taken out by you for Eimaan LLC.
The Town of South Windsor Zoning Regulations outlines the standards that
must be met for home occupations to be allowed in residential zones in
Section 7. 11, Home Occupations. Section 7. 11.3A Performance Criteria
details the performance criteria for a minor home occupation. In order to
be granted a Home Occupation permit, your business must meet the
criteria specified in these regulations, and receive approval from the
development's Homeowner's Association, in accordance with Section
7. 11.2A Zones Permitted of the regulations. A copy of the regulations is
included for your review.
I have included a permit application for a minor home occupation.
Please complete and submit the application, including written approval
from the Homeowner's Association for a determination of compliance
with the regulations within ten (10) days to avoid enforcement action from
this office. If you have any questions, please call meat (860) 644-2511,
extension 251 . Thank you for your prompt attention to this request.

NOTICE OF VIOLATION

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Chaudhry:
I sent you a letter on March 16, 2016 regarding the business, Eimaan LLC,
being operated out of your home at 7 Drake Court since July 2011.
You were advised that while the Town of South Windsor allows a resident
to operate a business out of their home, the business must meet the
criteria specified in the regulations, and a permit must be obtained prior
to the start of business. I had sent you the necessary application for either
a minor or major home occupation, and requested that the permit
application be submitted within 10 days. To date, no permit application
has been submitted.
This activity is a violation of Section 7. 1 1, Home Occupations, which
requires your business to meet the criteria specified in these regulations,
and receive approval from the development's Homeowner's Association,
in accordance with Section 7. 11.2A Zones Permitted of the regulations.
CORRECTIVE ACTION REQUIRED: Submit a home occupation permit
application for the business, demonstrating compliance with all
applicable criteria, including an approval letter from the development's
Homeowner's Association by May 6, 2016.

ENFORCEMENT ORDER

Pursuant to the authority vested in me by the Zoning Regulations of the
Town of South Windsor, Connecticut, you are hereby ordered and
directed within ten (10) days of the date hereof, to discontinue the
violation and condition at the premises identified as:
PROPERTY ADDRESS: 7 Drake Court, South Windsor, CT, owned and/or
maintained by you, which is in violation of the said South Windsor Zoning
Regulations.
An investigation of the subject premises by this office discloses that the
following condition presently exists:
1. Unpermitted home occupation
This condition violates South Windsor Zoning Regulations Section 7.71
Home Occupations, which requires a home occupation permit be
obtained prior to the start of a home business.
You must submit a permit application immediately, including a written
approval from the Redfield Homeowner's Association.
Your immediate attention to this matter is hereby required and directed.
If you fail to comply with this order, you may be subject to further
enforcement proceedings and penalties in accordance with Connecticut
General Statutes 8-12.

You have the right to appeal this action to the South Windsor Zoning
Board of Appeals within 30 days after the service of this order on you, in
accordance with Connecticut General Statutes 8-12.
