Re: Vehicles and debris on property
Dear Mr. Mack:
I sent you a letter on March 1, 2016 regarding the number of vehicles and
amount of debris on your property_at 1084 Ellington Road. In that letter,
you were asked to remove any unregistered and commercial vehicles not
permitted by the Town zoning regulations, as well as all debris by March
21 , 2016.
As was brought to your attention in the March 1, 2016 letter, Section 3.2. 1B
Commercial Vehicles of the Town Zoning regulations only allows one
commercial vehicle to be parked on residential property provided such
vehicle is a van or pick-up type vehicle. The Town Anti-Blight Ordinance
defines blight as one or more unregistered motor vehicles in the public
view. It also defines debris as abandoned, discarded or unused objects,
including containers, cans, boxes, tires and more. A copy of the
ordinance and zoning regulations were included for your review.
Please remove any unregistered and non-conforming commercial
vehicles from your property as well as all debris by April,8, 2016 to avoid a
blight lien and the associated $100 per day penalty being placed on your
property. You should also be aware that the Anti-Blight Ordinance gives
the Town the right to remove the cause of blight at your cost. You can
contact me at (860) 644-2511, extension 251 if you have any questions.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this request.
Sincerely, a
Pamela A. Oliva; CHO
