Re: Roosters
Dear Mr. & Mrs. Diaz:
It has come to my attention through complaints that you are currently
keeping roosters on your property at 76 Croft Drive. Please be advised
that this activity is not permitted in South Windsor.
The Town of South Windsor, in Section 7. 12. 1E Required Standards for
Home Animal Agriculture of the Zoning Regulations, while allowing roosters
to be kept under home animal agriculture in a rural residential (RR) zone,
restricts such activities to property that is a minimum of one (1) acre. The
portion of your property that is within South Windsor is 0.4 acres. A copy
of the regulation has been attached for your reference.
Please remove the roosters from your property within ten (10) days to
avoid enforcement action from this office. If you have any questions, you
