constructed in your yard. I included permit application forms to be completed

This activity is a violation of Section 9.I.IA.1 Zoning Permitof the Town Zoning
regulations, which requires a zoning permit be submitted Prior to the

Re: New shed
Dear Mr. Costa:
While responding to a complaint regarding your new driveway, one of the Town
engineers went to your residence and observed a new shed being constructed in
your yard. Please be aware that the Town of South Windsor Zoning regulations
restrict the location of such structures.
The regulations, in Table 3.1.2A, Residentia/Area, Density and Dimensional
Requirements, states that no buildings can be erected except in conformance
with the above referenced table. If your shed is larger than two hundred square
feet, you will need to file a building permit as well as obtain zoning approval for
the location of the shed. If the shed is two hundred square feet or smaller, you
will need only a zoning permit. Either permit will require the shed to be located
in accordance with the setbacks noted in Table 3.1.2A.
I have enclosed the pertinent section of the regulations for your reference as
well as an application form for small structures. Please file the appropriate
permit application by July 13, 2015 to avoid enforcement action from
this office. If you have any questions, call me at (860) 644-2511, extension
251. Thank you for your attention to this request.
Sincerely, }
