Re: Blighted property at 430 Ellington Road, South Windsor, CT
Dear Mr. & Mrs. Christensen:
I have gone by your property at 430 Ellington Road in response to a complaint
received about the maintenance of the property. I have observed vegetation
that has been allowed to reach and remain at a height of twelve (12") inches or
greater for a period of ten (10) days or longer in both the front and rear of the
house. Please be advised that this condition meets the definition of blight under
Section 3b of the Town of South Windsor Anti-Blight Ordinance, a copy of which
is included for your information.
Section 4 of the Anti-Blight Ordinance finds it to be a public nuisance for any
person owning any premises in South Windsor to maintain such .premises as
blighted property. Please cut the vegetation by June 8, 201S and then
maintain the property to avoid enforcement action and potential daily
penalties of one hundred ($100) dollars by this office.
You have the right to appeal this action.to a Hearing Officer within ten (10) days
after service of this notice on you, in accordance with the Anti-Blight Ordinance
of the Town of South Windsor. Call me at (860) 644-2511, ext. 251 if you have
any questions.
Sincerely,
Pamela A. Oliva
