This approval is subject to the following conditions: 1. There will be a monitoring manhole on the outfall pipe installed within the street right-of-way for the purpose of monitoring B.O.D. and solids; 2. A connection charge will be due in the amount of$11,433 for 3 acres at the time of connection, the rates for which will be in effect until June 30, 2015; 3. Technical approval of the Town of South Windsor Department; and 4. Final Authority approval and acceptance of the sanitary sewerage connection will be conditional upon the installed sewer line having been inspected by the Town staff, and upon the written verification of the Town staff that said sanitary sewer line was installed in substantial conformance with the design plans approved by the Authority, and meeting all regulations and appropriate technical specifications relating to sanitary sewer construction. Burns, P.E. 1699 King Street, Suite 406 Enfield, CT 06082 8,000 GPD HOOT MTS System Based on the information provided to us by the owner, we have chosen to recommend a 8,000 GPD Hoot MTS Series to Pre-Treat the wastewater to better than residential levels for discharge into gravity sewer. This facility is proposed to be a Brewery and the wastes generated from the facility are estimated to be approximately 1,000 to 2,500 mg/L of BOD at 1,000 gallons per day for a total of 21.0 lbs. of BOD and pH Neutral (6-9). All human wastes will be diverted around the system and directly drain into the city sewer. The system has been designed to deliver the amount of air necessary to complete digestion in %Z of the day (running 720 of 1440 minutes), and the Aeration can be increased to 100% and essentially double either the flow or the strength, or a combination there of. We assume residential strength of wastewater, which is not to exceed on average 238 on BOD5i 200 on TSS and maintain a pH of 6-9. pH adjustment, via the addition of chemicals in the main drain along with Anti-Foaming agents or microbes to encourage digestion may be required, and are in addition to this proposal, if necessary. Prior to release of final submittal documents and drawings to the DEP for approval, a deposit of 10% ($6,000) of the projected cost is required to complete the work. The final price will be determined by any additional components that are required to obtain the permit, as required by either the engineer or the local or State Health Department/DEP. From that final price, a contract will be developed. Please Note: • You will need to provide a CT licensed Installer to complete this project. They will need to be present, onsite, each day that construction takes place and be responsible for the installation. They will be responsible for the excavation, setting of tanks including crane, installation, hook-up of drain lines to the first tank and from the Clarifier of the Hoot Tanks to the city sewer line. • Any watertight testing required and the lines to and from the system are the responsibility of the owner. • You will need to employ a licensed Maintenance provider for the lifetime of the treatment system. • We will work with your engineer to provide the required drawings, documents and any additional information required, and attend meetings with them or the State or L.H. Department, if needed. • No excavation work is included with this bid. • No setting of tanks by a crane is included, only delivered in Full truck load quantities to the site. (Crane rental responsibility of Installer) • No electrical work or supply is included, other than supply of components listed above (listed pumps, motors, load center, etc.) • Plumbing to the system from the structures and between final tank and the city drain line is not included. • No permit (s) (construction, impact, environmental or otherwise) are included. • We recommend a fence around the system, but it is not included.
