Re: Storage of Trailers and Camping Vehicles
Dear Ms. Saxon:
In response to a complaint received in this office, I have driven by your property
and seen a camper parked in your front yard.
Please be aware that the Town of South Windsor does not permit the parking or
storage of such vehicles in a residential zone except when they are stored in an
enclosed structure (i.e. garage), or when the vehicle is in the rear of the
property and screened from street view in accordance with Section 7.19 of the
Zoning Regulations. The Regulations also state that such vehicles may not be
larger than 8 feet wide or 27 feet long to be stored in a residential zone.
I have enclosed a copy of the pertinent sections of the Regulations for you. If
you have any questions regarding the proper storage of your vehicle, please call
me at (860) 644-2511, ext. 251. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
