RE: DST Output, 125 Ellington Road
Approval to use a private meter
Dear Mr. Mark Capardino:
The South Windsor Water Pollution Control Authority, at its regular meeting of May 6, 2014,
approved the use of two private water meters .at DST Output, 125 Ellington Road, South
Windsor, CT., which may be used to measure the amount of the water that is not discharged to
the sewer. One meter is for the lawn irrigation system and the other is for the humidification
system. This figure will be subtracted from the water company's consumption report to
indirectly measure the sewer discharge and will serve as the basis for calculating a sewer user_
charge, and is subject to the following conditions:
1. The two meters installed must meet all Town regulations and appropriate technical
specifications relating to the use of such meters.
2. The applicant needs to read these meters not less than once a month, maintain a log of
meter readings, and have the meters maintained according to manufacturer's
requirements to ensure accurate flow measurement.
3. Following reasonable notice, the applicant shall allow the Town staff to inspect meter
logs and check that the meters are in good operating order.
4. The applicant shall submit to the Town in January of each year a written meters report on
company letterhead for the previous calendar year.
Sincerely yours,
9 -
