Hi Michele,
If the patio is to be utilized on a regular basis (and not just for special events)and food is to be served on
the patio, the health code requirement would be as follows:
75% of the outdoor seating capacity shall be designated with written signage as a non-smoking area
If no food is to be served on the patio, this regulation would not apply.

Subject: Nomads II - Bowling Alley
Doug Nation was in today. He would like to ask the PZC about creating an outdoor patio space, 30'X
66', along the southern side of the building to allow for patrons to smoke and drink. I have attached a
copy of the plan that shows the location.
He will be asking for us to sign off on a patio liquor permit.
I will be approaching the PZC about this use with a change order. Do any of you have any specific
concerns or criteria he would have to meet? Is there additional information that we should be getting from
him?
