Dear Atty. Gerlt:
The South Windsor Water Pollution Control Authority, at its regular meeting on May 4, 2010, gave
approval to the application for connection to the Town of South Windsor sewerage system of a
proposed 2 lot single family residential subdivision in East Windsor, CT for connection to the existing
South Windsor sanitary sewer on Griffin Road; as more specifically shown on plans entitled
"Resubdivision Plan; Mitchell Resubdivision Prepared for Dustin Mitchell, East Windsor and South
Windsor, Conn.", prepared by Aeschliman Land Surveying, PC, East Hartford, CT. Sheet No 2 of 3
"Topographic Map" Dated 1-13-10 and Revised on 4-19-10 "Staff Comments" and 4/1/10. This
approval is subject to the following conditions:
1. The proposed 8 inch sanitary building sewer between the proposed manholes should be
changed to a 6 inch sanitary building sewer to service the two houses.
2. The property owner will be billed with the same sewer charge that is billed to out of town
sewer users;
3. Final Approval from the East Windsor WPCA;
4. Technical approval of the Town of South Windsor Engineering Department;
5. Final South Windsor Water Pollution Control Authority approval and acceptance of the
sanitary sewerage connection will be conditional upon the sewer•line having been installed and
inspected by the South Windsor Town staff, and upon the written verification of the South
Windsor Town staff that said sanitary sewer line was installed in substantial conformance with
the design plans approved by the South Windsor Water Pollution Control Authority, and
meeting all South Windsor Town regulations and appropriate technical specifications relating
to sanitary sewer construction.

APPLICATION SUBMITTAL PROCEDURES
1. The Water Pollution Control Authority (W.P.C.A.) meets regularly on the first
Tuesday of each month, except during the months of July and August. Check
with W.P.C.A. Office (644-2511, extension 247) for meeting dates during these
months.
2. All applicants requesting "final" approvals are required to have the prior
approvals of IWA, P&Z and ZBA as appropriate.
3. It is suggested that prospective applicants contact the W.P.C.A. Office prior to
submission of application.
4. Two sets of completed plans must be included, where appropriate, at the time the
application is submitted.
5. Applications must be submitted to the W.P.C.A. Office in the Town Hall, 1540
Sullivan Avenue, South Windsor, Connecticut at least seven (7) working days
prior to the date of the W.P.C.A. meeting.
6. After staff review, the Town will notify applicant if any further information is
required, and the date of the W.P.C.A. meeting at which the application will be
considered by the Town.
