Town Of South Windsor Proposal:
The following is an overview of my company "Celebrity Nails & Spa" that
I wish to bring to the town of South Windsor. This would replace the already
approved Nail Salon business that is currently in operation at the proposed
address 1430 Ellington Rd known as "Linh Beauty Nails".
Services that would be provided would be the same that exists today at the
location. The following is an example of what we will be able to provide for
the residents. The partial list includes manicures, Pedicures, Facial, Waxing,
Air Brush Design, massages, Acrylic and Gel.
Staff would include my family that are living at the residence. Each has a
unique gift and talent that will surely satisfied the needs and desires of our
soon to be patrons. Our nursing professional daughter will be perfect to
assisting the elderly, handicap or others who are unable or wish to have their
nails trim and filed. Our son is an award winning artist that specializes in
painting who will offer our customers a beautiful unique air brush or
painting of their nails. Both Kim and myself have been in business most of
our lives and have been written about and featured in various magazines and
newspapers including the front page of the "Wall Street Journal." Since
family members all currently have their own careers we will have to
schedule the services that they specialize in when they are available. I am
also looking to hire one professional non family member to be able to fill in
when a family member is not able to work.
"Celebrity Nails & Spa" will have an elegant appeal both inside and out.
This will include a custom made business sign similar to the new Doctors
office that is currently located on Oakland St. The sign will not be more than
2xj' as outlined in the town guidelines. I have planned to have the current
landscape receive a makeover. This will include adding topsoil & seeding to
the lawn, shrubs, flowers and more that will be done by a professional in
40 town landscaping company. I would like to make improvements to the
parking lot by finishing the sections that currently has crush stone. Further
minor cosmetic changes to the house itself especially from a view from the
front are also planned to be completed. I would like to take down the TV
antenna from the roof and other such projects that will give a more warm
friendly residential appearance and curb appeal as well.
The inside of business will remain clean at all times. My experience as a
restaurant manager has taught me to keep things tidy and neat as you go
along. A daily cleaning maintenance schedule will be performed without
fail.
Hours Of Operation:
We would like to keep the same hours that are currently being used at this
location.
M-F 9:00 AM— 8:00 PM
Saturday 9:00 AM—6:00 PM
Sunday: Closed
Business Garbage:
Our refuse from this business will be very small. Our experience from the
current business is lucky to get one garbage bag a week. 90% of the trash
will be cotton balls and paper towels that are used to keep the business clean.
A Separate trash container will be stored in the garage for the business
refuse and I will personally take it to my dumpster that I pay for in
Farmington.
Thank you for your time and help in advance. Please feel free to ask me any
other questions that you may have.
Sincerely,
r

Spring 2011: We would like to separate the front of the house/business from the
backyard. A nice elegant way would be to put a privacy white fence along the sides of the
house. Many newer homes use this non wood material that really looks pleasant to the
eye. The better side of the two would be facing Ellington Rd. Also in front of the fence
we would like to plant flowers to give it even more of an eye appealing atmosphere.
