In redemption center we will be collecting and sorting cans and bottles such as Pepsi,
Coke, water, etc. that people bring to. us. We will be only collecting redeemable cans
and bottles, therefore any non-redeemable will not be accepted. Every once a week,
these bottles and cans will be picked up by the company distributors.
Even though there won't bean issue with 'liquid since the bottles and cans are empty,
we will have a 55-gallon barrel just incase. We will not need:a dumpster since there
won't be significant accumulation of trash, however, we will have a smaller trash can
instead. There won't be an issue with rats since the cans and bottles will be placed in d/ ^
large packed bags. 1f we do have an issue, we will consult with companies such as
Terminix in resolving any issue that may arise, if be.
The business will be self-run by the owner himself. The business hours are 8AM - 5PM
Mon-Sat. Even though we cannot determine the volume of people in and out, it will not
be that significant, especially when the business is getting started.
Upon town's approval, we will go to state to obtain the EIN and DEP (Department of
Environmental Protection) to inform them about our facility. ;
We have quiet a few relatives who run similar business, so we are familiar with the
process and workings of such business.
K ~
In this business, redemption center, we will be collecting, sorting, and storing empty
cans and bottles (coke, pepsi, water bottles, etc). They will be stored in closed boxes
and plastic bags which will be within the building until it is picked up by the company
distributor. There are other similar businesses all over Connecticut which ensures that
bottles and cans are recycled to help out the environment.
