Re: Approval to Use a Private Water Meter
45 South Satellite Road
Dear Mr.Brooks:
The South Windsor Water Pollution Control Authority, at its regular meeting of May 5, 2009, approved the use
of a private meter at 45 South Satellite Road, South Windsor, CT,which may be used to measure the amount of
water that is not discharged to the sewer. This figure will be subtracted from the water company's consumption
report to indirectly measure the sewer discharge and will serve as the basis for calculating a sewer user charge,
and is subject to the following conditions:
1. Town must inspect and approve the meter installation, meeting all Town regulations and
appropriate technical specifications relating to sanitary sewer construction.
2. Applicant needs to read this meter not less than once a month,maintain a log of meter readings,
have the meter maintained,and make sure it is accurately recording flow.
3. The applicant shall allow the Town to insect meter log following reasonable notice.
4. The applicant shall submit to the Town in January of each year a written meter report on
company letterhead for the proceeding calendar year.
This approval letter must be superimposed on the final approval plans.

Satellite Road.
Based on your instructions, this letter serves to request a separation of our lawn
irrigation water usage, via an approved metering device, from the calculations that
are used to determine sewer usage charges.
