RE: SEWER USER BILLING
Dear Messrs. Wolf and Guerra:
The South Windsor Water Pollution Control Authority, at its meeting of October 15, 1996, reviewed
your letter of September 18, 1996 requesting consideration for use of pump meters as a basis for
determining wastewater discharge rates for Sewer Use billing purposes.
The W.P.C.A. has decided that in order for the Authority to feel comfortable in using this method, it
will be necessary to undertake a one year trial period of data collection, and to compare this pump
data against water utility consumption reports.
Following a comparison of the data collection during the one year trial period, the Authority will
decide whether the method provides a reasonably accurate means of measuring wastewater
discharge rates.
