Dear Mr. DeMallie:
The South Windsor Water Pollution Control Authority, at its special meeting of October 19
1999, gave approval for the connection to the Town's sewerage system of a commercial
building at 124 Commerce Way, as more specifically shown on plans entitled "Windsor Steel
Corporate Headquarters - 124 Commerce Way - South Windsor- Connecticut" prepared by
Design Professionals, Inc., South Windsor, CT, Job No. 98-1127, as follows: Sheet 1, Cover
Sheet — Key Map dated July 28, 1999, rev. September 17, 1999; Sheet 2/5, Resurvey Plot Plan
dated July 6, 1999, rev. 8/9/1999, 9/8/1999, and 9/17/99; Sheet 3/5, Resurvey Topographic Map
dated July 6, 1999, rev. 8/9/1999 and 9/8/1999; Sheet 4/5, Sediment and Erosion Control Plans
dated July 6, 1999, rev. 8/9/1999 and 9/8/1999; Sheet 5/5, Details dated July 6, 1999, no rev.;
Sheet L1/L1 (Planimetrics), Planting Plan dated 8/17/99, no rev.; and Sheets A-1 and A-2 (The
Lawrence Associates, Project No. 99-0026), Floor Plan and Exterior Elevations, respectively,
dated 8/13/99, no revisions; and subject to the following conditions:
1. Technical approval of the Town Engineering Department.
2. Final Authority approval and acceptance of the sanitary sewerage connection will be
given once the sewer line has been installed and inspected by the Town staff, and based
upon the written verification of the Town staff that said sanitary sewer line was installed
in substantial conformance with the design plans previously approved by the Authority,
and meeting all Town regulations and appropriate technical specifications relating to
sanitary sewer construction.
3. Town staff will examine the company's operations to ensure that all other fluids used in
the manufacturing process will be adequately controlled and kept clear of sewers.
4. Due to the close proximity of the manhole in the street, the requirement for a manhole on
the property will be waived.

5. The connection charge will be based on 1.8 acres of developed acreage.
6. This approval letter must be superimposed on the final approval plans.

Completed WPCA application form and two (2) blueprint sets of plans for the Windsor Steel Headquarters
project on Commerce Way. Inland Wetlands Agency approval was granted last Wednesday and Planning&Zoning
Commission approval is expected on Tuesday, October 12th. We are hereby requesting that this application be
placed on the next WPCA agenda which is I believe on October 19th. Please advise if this is possible. Thank you.
