ACTION OF THE BOARD
Granted: Denied:
June 20, 1997
Town of South Windsor
Zoning Board of Appeals
1540 Sullivan Avenue
South Windsor, CT. 06074
To The Zoning Board Of Appeals:
When applying for the initial variance, we stated our hardship as the need to preserve an
area for our children to play in. We had been led to believe, by the Zoning Office, that this
was sufficient reason to obtain a variance. We had not included the information about the
high water table in the written application, but did present the information at the hearing.
Due to the fact that Farnham Estates has a high water table, which is beyond our control
and causes the need for the variance, and considering that the we were not informed of the
reason for the denial of our first application, we are hereby requesting that the fee for the
second application be waived.
Sincerely,
Thomas &Kathlee`if Rogers
To the town of So. Windsor
To who it my concern I the undersign give our consent.to Thomas Rogers and
Kathleen Rogers to put up a shed closer to our property boundaries then the
town allows.

Re: Appl. #2364-97—Thomas and Kathleen Rogers, request for a 7'variance to Section 10.2 to
allow a shed 3' from the property line (10' required) at 58 Farnham Road,A-20 Zone.
Dear Mr. & Mrs. Rogers:
At the meeting of the South Windsor Zoning Board of Appeals held on July 3, 1997, the Board approved
your request for a 7' variance to Section 10.2 to allow a shed 3' from the property line (10' required) at 58
Farnham Road, A-20 Zone.
The Board concluded the hardship on the property to be that due to the high water table and other areas
on the property being used for other purposes, the only available flat piece of property is the back corner:
Any new building, or alterations/additions to existing buildings, require a building permit prior to start of
construction.
These actions are effective upon your filing the enclosed form in the Town Clerk's Office at your own
expense.
Very truly yours,
Jotph J. Carino, Chairman
Zoning Board of Appeals
