(2.03) '659-4881 • • ' Y f ATTACHMENT TO AN APPLICATION FOR TOWN OF SOUTH WINDSOR ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS A variance is requested from the Town of South Windsor in order to replace an existing addition to my home at 905 Foster Street Extension. The existing addition is 8 1/2 ft x 17 ft and the proposed replacement measures 14 ft x 36 ft. There are two primary reasons for this request. The first of these is that the existing structure is in need of significant repair and detracts from the appearance of the house. Replacing the structure will improve the appearance of the home, and bring it more into conformity with other homes in the neighborhood in terms of building styles, appearance, and quality of construction. A secondary reason for this request is that the house does not have sufficient living space for my family. Expansion on the left side of the house is impossible due to the placement of the garage. Expansion to the front or back would deviate significantly from traditional cape cod styling and be architecturally unattractive. Replacing and expanding the existing addition is the most practical way of expanding living space. Nathan Baker 905 Foster Street Ext.
