Dear Board Members:
Recently the Town of South Windsor sent us a list of trees and plantings that need
to be trimmed or replaced before our Landscape Bond can be released. Some of the items
on the list have already been replaced by us once. Since you took over control of the
Association on June 20, 2005, you have been responsible to arrange for the proper care of
the Common Elements, of which these are a part. Please send us a copy of your schedule
for maintenance, i.e. watering, fertilizing, etc., as well as copies of the contracts you have in
place to care for these. On a recent visit to the community it was observed and pointed out
to Mrs. Dubiel that whoever did the edging around the street trees, piled up the excess dirt
and mulch on top of the existing mulch bed, burying the root ball and base of the trunk.
This burying of the root collar is often fatal to newer trees.
We look forward to your quick response so that we can work together to get these
items taken care of.
