Lots 78 , 79 , 80 Surface Drainage
- Gentlemen:
In response to a request by Mr. Caron of 67 Devonshire Drive
- to inspect the grading and drainage in and around the yards
of Lots 78 , 79 & 80 , there does appear to be a need to modify
the existing grades . Perhaps with your expertise as the devel-
oper and resolving drainage problems , you could contact the
owners and assist them. The magnitute to an individual home-
owner can be devastating. With your assistance , it could be
simplified.
Very truly yours ,
A. B. Davies

Gentlemen:
Thank you for your prompt response to the grading & runoff problem
on lots 78,79 & 80. I knew you would do the right thing.
While we are on a roll, I have a few 'how about' s ' that you could
also address in the same manner:
1 . Item 5 in the June 13 , 1985 letter of approval from the Planning
& Zoning Commission concerning the Foster Street reconstruction
and obtaining approval from Town Council When and where is it?
2 . When the development of lots 93 through 97 was discussed, basement
floor elevations, foundation drains and backyard drainage and swale
was included. It was my understanding that this would be taken
care of at your end. A couple of weeks ago, I saw a dry well
being installed behind the house on lot #97. This seems inconsis-
tent with a realistic drainage pattern as discussed. How come?
What do you propose now for the surface drainage?
3 . Your January 22 , 1986 letter indicates that property corners will
be installed after the June 1 , 1986 landscaping completion. I
realize that July 18 , 1986 is after, but 'how about' finishing
them. It would make us all look good.
Again, your prompt attention to these items as you did with 78 ,79 & 80
would be appreciated. It would be impressive.
Very truly yours,
A. B. Davies

RE: Windshire Abbe
Dear Mr. Kelley:
While the Town was undertaking field survey work associated with
the Comprehensive Storm Management Study a stormwater problem was
noted within your Windshire Abbe Subdivision. South of Miller
Road is an existing_ pond (see attached' drawing) with an outlet. ._
pipe in the berm. This pipe is blocked causing the water
elevation in the pond to be somewhat higher than it should be.
In addition, part of the berm for this pond has eroded (washed
out) and needs to be repaired properly.
As I indicated, these items were noted during our survey work and
I know you will agree that corrective measures need to. be taken
immediately to eliminate a potential flooding condition. Please
advise as to when we can expect this maintenance work will be
completed. If you have any questions, or need additional
information concerning this, please call me at 644-2511, ext.
245.
