Three test holes (T.H. ) were observed. The approximate location of these test holes is shown on the attached map. Test Hole 1 and 2 are unnamed poorly drained soils which have soil profiles indicating that the water table rises to . within approximately 10 - 12 inches of the surface. Any onsite septic system constructed on these soils would require removal of the topsoil and the use of suitable fill material for the leaching fields. Also, fill material and footing drains should be used for the homes. These soils are subject to inland wetland regulations and require a wetland permit. Test Hole #3 was- observed to consist of the Ninigret moderately well- drained soils having a depth to the water table ranging from 18 to 36 inches. Mottling was observed at approximately 18 inches. The topsoil should be removed and fill material used for an onsite septic system. Fill material and footing drains may also be needed for the home. Test Hole #1 and #2 are unnamed soils identified as inclusions within the poorly drained Walpole soils which are delineated on the Hartford County Soil Survey. Even though they are "unnamed", their limitations are similar to those of Walpole soils. I hope this information is a value to you. Should you require further assistance, please call .
