McCahill, Zoning/Wetlands Enforcement Officer RE: Application #89-25W, Sabrina Pool, Route 44, Coventry, CT 06238, IWA/CC permit for the construction of an inground pool on property located on the northerly side of 55 Woodside Drive, South Windsor, A-20 zone. DOCUMENTS REVIEWED: Application form and plot plan (dated April 17, 1989) . COMMENTS: 1 . Approximately 50% of this parcel is designated wetlands on the Town Wetlands Map. Some of that area appears to have been filled for the original construction of the house. A wetlands line should be indicated on the plot plan. This should be either from the map or as flagged by a soil scientist. 2 . The Podunk River is adjacent to this property and should be indicated on the plan. 3 . The owner is not the applicant. Section 3c of the application form requires a letter from the property owner authorizing the proposed activity. This has been submitted. 4 . There are no erosion and sedimentation controls indicated on the plan. A siltation barrier should be located at the toe of the slope in accordance with the Connecticut Guidelines for Erosion and Sedimentation Control. 5 . An estimate for the total fill to be relocated should be indicated on the plan. 6 . The location of the discharge for backflushing the pool should be indicated on the plan. This should not discharge directly into the wetland area. In addition, pool specifications should be provided as part of the application. 7 . The toe of the slope is currently heavily vegetated with wetland vegetation and also appears to be an area prone to flooding from the Podunk River. 8. These comments should be addressed and items not on the plans should be included prior to a final approval by the Commission. Feinstein, dated May 22, 1989 . The following modifications must be adhered to for this permit to be valid: 1 . Construction activities shall be subject to the approval of the Town Engineer. 2 . The application shall indemnify and hold harmless the Town of South Windsor against any liability which might result from the proposed operation or use. 3 . No additional fill may be brought to the site. 4 . The permit is valid for one year and shall expire on June 12, 1990 . 5 .
