DOCUMENTS REVIEWED: Application form and site plans (dated May 19, 1989 ) . COMMENTS: 1 . Richard Snarski, Soil Scientist has indicated there are no wetlands soils or watercourses on this property. A written report supporting his site investigation should be submitted to the Commission as part of the application. 2 . There is currently fill at the location of the proposed warehouse which was brought onto the site early this spring. They were informed that this was a violation and that plans needed to be submitted for approval by Town Commissions and all work was to cease until such time approval is granted. 3 . The site appears very sandy and there is no obvious indication of wetlands . If the Commission approves the Soil Scientist's findings, wetlands limits based on the Town Wetlands map, should be removed from final plans . 4 . Item "h of the application form describes the activities . If the wetlands redesignation is accepted this would be for conservation approval only. 5 . Drainage computations have not been provided for the site. These should be submitted for review prior to action by the Commission. 6 . Proper deposition of "existing pavement to be removed" should be indicated on the plans. 7 . The proposed silt fence should be included in the legend and clearly identified on the plans . It should be properly located so it allows the work to take place and provides limits to the work proposed. 8. The total impervious area for the site is 67%, a variance has been granted for 68% maximum. 9 . A sequence of construction should be indicated directly on the plans . 10 . The soils on this site are very sandy. There are areas indicated to be grassed. Those areas should include 4 inches of topsoil and a seed mix should be indicated on the plan in accordance with Connecticut Guidelines for Erosion and Sedimentation Controls . 11 . Routine sweeping of existing pavement should be included in the construction sequence throughout construction to control tracking of materials off the site. IF APPROVAL IS CONSIDERED, SUGGEST APPROVAL CONDITIONS INCLUDE 1 . A written report from the Soil Scientist should be submitted. 2 . If the Commission approves the Soil Scientist's findings, wetlands limits based on the Town Wetlands map should be removed from the plans . 3 . Existing pavement should be removed from the site. This should be indicated on the plans . 4 . Include silt fence in the legend and clearly identify it on the ` plans so it allows the work to take place and provide limits to the work proposed. 5 . Indicate a sequence of construction directly on the plans . 6 . Indicate 4 inches of topsoil for grassed areas and identify proper seed mix for the site. 7 . Indicate routine sweeping of existing pavement in the construction sequence throughout the period of construction.
