Your approved lot plans require fencing at the drip lines of such trees and prohibits encroachment in these areas as denoted on the plans . As engineers for the permittee, Dart Hill Realty, we were not aware that the permit was to be extended. Only two lots ( 10 & 28) in Section I remain vacant. I inspected the site on 6/10/88 and have found that, in gen- eral , all erosion and sediment control methods called for on the plans had apparently been installed and maintained. As this section was started three years ago, the areas disturbed by construction have been re-established and appear to be environmentally sound ; i . e, the new homes have a good stand of grass and erosion and sediment control measures appear not to be required at this time. Although we feel extension of the permit may not be necessary, our client has indicated a desire to extend said permit. Therefore, we would appreciate consideration at your next meeting. A permit for your proposal was granted, with a bond as assurance of compliance with its sedimentation and erosion control measures. To assist in the review process by the Inland Wetlands Agency/Conservation Commission, whether for a permit extension or specific inquiry request, the provisions for verification through progress reports by the developer's/applicant's Engineer demonstrating that each Erosion and Sedimentation control measure has been installed and maintained, in accordance with the approved plan shall be required. It is requested that this verification report be submitted at least two weeks before the regular meeting of the IWA/CC to permit time for the Commissioners to evaluate your project controls . It is our understanding that Dart Hill Realty, Inc. does not, wish to extend the IWA/CC permit. A recent inspection of the site revealed that most of the houses have been constructed in Section I . All erosion and sedimentation control measures were in place and that further erosion/sedimentation control measures are not necessary as it appears all vegetation has obtained suffi- cient growth.
