TOPIC = PLAZA SIGN AT 965 SULLIVAN AVENUE THE SIGN THAT EXISTS ON THE PROPERTY NOW HAS BEEN THERE SING= OCT. 1998. A VARIANCE THAT WAS APPROVED ON OCT. 14, 1966 IS BELIEVED TO HAVE THE WRONG ADDRESS OF 968 SULLIVAN AVENUE ON IT. THE DIMENSIONS FROM OLD TO NEW SIGN HAVE NOT CHANGED BY MUCH. THIS VARIANCE WOULD HAVE ALLOWED US A SIGN OF 32' X 16' OR 512 SQUARE FEET. A FURTHER STUDY SHOWED THE PLAZA ACROSS THE STREET WAS BUILT IN 1970 AND THERE IS NO 968 SULLIVAN AVE. . THE COUNTRY STORE IS 960 SULLIVAN AVE. AND THE PICKLE WORKS IS 976 SULLIVAN AVE. . THE PLANNING OFFICE HAD A VARIANCE WITH THE SAVINGS BANK OF MANCHESTER, WHICH IS 955 SULLIVAN AVE. AS 968 SULLIVAN AVE. AS WELL. MR. RUPNER WHO IS A PARTNER IN THE OWNERSHIP OF THE PROPERTY DID NOT KNOW WHERE THIS VARIANCE WAS AND FILED FOR A NEW ONE IN DEC. 1988 FOR 60 SQ. FT. OR 5' X 12' SIGN. THE SIGN THAT WAS ERECTED IN 1998 IS 316 SQ.FT. . THE TOP BEING 16' X 12' , THE BOTTOM BEING 8' X 12' AND THE POSTS BEING 18.5' X 9" . WE WOULD LIKE TO ADD 4 MORE SIGNS AT ThE BOTTOM TO ACCOMMODATE A NEW TENANT, AND A 6000 SQ. FT. VACANT UNIT THAT COULD BE SUB-DIVIDED INTO 3 UNITS. WE ARE ASKING FOR A VARIANCE OF 370 SQ. FT. . THIS WILL KEEP THE SIGN UNIFORM WITH WHAT IS NOW EXISTING, AND THIS WILL BE PLENTY FOR FUTURE USE.
