SECTION IV—ACTION Of TH,E BOARD
Approved: A Denied:
Revised 12/04/98
South Windsor Board of Appeals
April 5, 2002
We are requesting a variance to 7ft from the existing
restriction of 10ft, in order to enlarge an existing 12ft
garage by 12ft.
The distance of the existing garage to the property line of
70 Diane Drive is approximately 20ft and would not allow the
construction of a proper garage to house 2 cars and the
various assortment of yard and driveway maintenance machines
which have become standard with modern living.
We ask the board to allow us the variance to relieve us of this
hardship.
Very truly yours
William & Ann Scanlon

Re: Appl. #2540-02—William Scanlon, 80 Diane Drive,A-20 zone
Dear Mr. Scanlon:
At the meeting of the South Windsor Zoning Board of Appeals held on May 2, 2002, the Board approved
your request for a 3' variance to section 10.2 to allow a proposed garage addition 7' from the side property
line (10' required) at 80 Diane Drive, A-20 zone.
The Board concluded the hardship on the property to be that there are no other alternatives due to the
close proximity of the house to the sidelines.
Any new building, or alteration/additions to existing buildings, requires a building permit prior to start of
construction.
These actions are effective upon your filing the enclosed form in the Town Clerk's Office at your own
expense.
Very truly yours,
C)CcL1CU7/ `r
