Appl #04-07P, OFS T and C Permit for Storage Trailer
1. The applicant is requesting a two year renewal of a temporary and
conditional permit for a storage unit (28' X 14') located on the
westerly side, adjacent to the existing building at 260 Ellington
Road, I-291 Corridor zone. The original approval was for one year
and expired on 11/13/02.
2. The storage unit has been placed in'the side yard on existing lawn,
in an area where there is an existing shed and fence. At the original
hearing, the applicant indicated that the temporary storage unit
would free up more room for manufacturing in the main building.
3. The wording of the T & C permit regulation is that, "Temporary
and conditional permits may be granted by the Commission for a
use which is not specified elsewhere in these regulations for a
period not to exceed two years. Such approval may be given after a
Public Hearing if, in the judgment of the Commission, the public
convenience and welfare will be substantially served, and the
appropriate use of neighboring property will not be substantially or
permanently injured, and traffic and other hazards will not result
from such use." Storage building are allowed in conformance with
the zoning requirements; outdoor storage is not allowed in this
zone.
4. If this application is approved, the planning department has no
modifications to request.

Please be advised that the Planning and Zoning Commission at its February 24, 2004,meeting
approved the above-referenced request for a temporary and conditional permit to allow a storage
unit(28' x 14')to be located adjacent to the existing building at 260 Ellington Road, I-291 CD
zone. This approval is subject to the following terms and conditions:
1. This permit is for a two (2) year maximum period.
2. Any new building or alterations/additions to existing building requires a building permit prior
to start of construction.
The permit will expire in two years on February 24, 2006.
