RE: App 03-19P, Saczawa Horse Farm 253 Main Street
I have reviewed the above application for a barn and enclosed riding ring for horses
at 253 Main Street and have the following comments:
1. Show a proposed access drive to the barn and ring from the street for vehicles.
2. Show utilities from the road to the barn and ring that will be necessary for the care
and boarding of the horses and other animals. (water, electric, phone, sanitary)
3. Show all additional pastures that will be fenced for the animals.
4. What is the proposed FF Elevation of the barn and ring? Include this on the
plans.
5. Show where any material excavated for the construction of these structures will
be deposited and spread.
6. Show any changes in grading necessary around these structures. The finished
grading around the barn and ring needs to shed surface and roof drainage to the
northeast, away from the steep, erodable slopes.
7. Show erosion control measures necessary for the construction of the barn and
ring. There needs to be perimeter silt fence shown to protect the wetlands and
slope, a topsoil stockpile ringed with silt fence, and possibly an anti tracking pad.
8. Add a note to the plans; "Additional Erosion & Sediment controls will be added at
the request of Town Staff as needed".
Please call me if you have any questions.
