used. Shop drawings to be reviewed and approved by Design Engineer should be noted as well.
4. 24 hour notice required for inspection requests.
Miscellaneous
1. Ron Gerber requested a clarification on the excavation of unsuitable material and depth of footings as
Specifications called for placement of concrete footings to undisturbed soil. It was agreed that the
excavation for footings shall be made to good bearing soil and structural (granular) fill placed to the
bottom of the foundation elevation provided that proper compaction is met. Ted Deery stated that the
bearing soil must support 3000 psf.
2. Refuse material will be measured in place by taking the difference in elevation between the top of the
refuse material, and the bottom of the refuse layer in the accepted trench or building excavation.
Unsuitable material encountered below the refuse layer must be removed but will not be measured for
payment as it is covered under Earth Excavation. Measurements will be taken for placement of the
compacted granular fill. Payment will be per cubic yards of granular fill placed.
6
3. Ron Gerber questioned whether the existing overburden material excavated in the building area may be
used for fill if it met the specifications. Ted Deery stated that the Town may not want to put back
material contaminated with salt. Mel stated that the material may be stockpiled onsite for street services
use.
4. A tentative start date for construction was set for either April 7th or 14`h depending on the weather. A
Notice To Proceed will be sent to Supreme in advance of the date. Steve Dalena will coordinate with
Mel for location of the job trailer and staging area.
5. The Health and Safety Plan was briefly discussed. Steve D. stated that any individual entering the site
must check in at the job trailer and sign the compliance agreement.
6. As-built requirements were discussed. Joe Perna referred to the Division 1 General Requirements, page
D1-3.
7. Vince reviewed the list of subcontractors for the project. He will provide a final list to the Town prior to
start of construction.
8. Any existing trees located in the trash relocation area to be removed must be marked 10 days prior to
removal by the Town Tree Warden. Mel or Joe will coordinate with Karl Reichle.

of Progress Payments. Vince K. and Joe P. will coordinate. Vince questioned amount of retainage as
described in the General Contract. Jeff Doolittle will check with the Town Attorney.

Respectfully submitted,
