This plan was approved by both the State and the Town. All work to be done is on the Town right of way and was field reviewed on July 1, 2003 with the two adjacent property owners, who will be responsible for maintaining the grass after the work is done. The work has not yet been scheduled, but no work can be done until seeding season returns on August 15, 2003. The contractor must secure the cooperation of the adjacent property owners to keep the seeded area moist at this time of year,or he may wait until the fall and cooler temperatures to do the work. Marchessault's Appointment Architectural Design Review Committee Dear Chairman McCann: After much reflection,I have come to the conclusion that it is time for me to resign from the ADRC. September 4,2003 will be the last meeting that I will be attending. It has been my privilege to be a member of this committee since its inception. During the committee's first years, applicants appeared more often than not to view their appearance before us as adversarial in nature. As time has gone on,it has been a pleasure to witness both acceptance by and respect for the committee's mission by developers/applicants. I believe that the committee's most lasting contribution has been the acceptance of the notion that development and development that is aesthetic is not mutually exclusive. I would like to think that the committee has assisted and will continue to assist both the Planning Department and the Planning and Zoning Commission to raise the bar for well thought out additions to the town. None of the committee's endeavors would have been possible without the expert guidance of Marcia Banach,Director of Planning and Michele Lipe,Assistant Director of Planning. I have learned much from both of them and am very grateful for their time, guidance and support. Thank you for allowing me to serve for so many years. Sincerely, Eileen P. The Commission believed it was not desirable to extend the commercial zone any farther up Deming Street, and wanted the land to remain in the Elderly Housing Development zone which will provide a transitional use between the commercial activity in Manchester and the lower density residential developments in South Windsor. =Econom' evelopment ood Services ment MP:ka cc: Wilfred Maxwell, Chair, PZC RAKATHYMMARKT-154.doc O An Equal Opportunity Employer •` 4 heste46 SUNSET-COLLISION'RPAtt.
