THE FOLLOWING: Two(2)blueprint copies of the site plan(sheets 1 of 4 and 3 of 4)for the above-referenced parcel
on the west side of US Route 5 in South Windsor. My client has applied to the South Windsor Planning and Zoning
Commission(PZC)for site plan approval, and the PZC is requesting written confirmation from your office that the five
existing parking spaces in front of the building may continue to be used for visitor and employee parking. I understand
the site was previously used by an industrial surplus supply and by a meter and tank operation. We would appreciate
documentation from DOT that the four parking spaces within the Route 5 right-of-way may continue to be used as they
have been for many years. Thank you.

Re: Rte. 5 Motor Cars Site Plan 00-54P
We have reviewed the revised drawings dated November 21, 2000 for the
proposed Rte. 5 Motor Cars Site Plan and have the following comments:
1. Plan does not indicate size of rip-rap pad.
2. Level spreader should utilize filter fabric.
3. The swale should be protected from vehicles parking over it.
4. Level spreader should be protected from vehicles.
5. A detail for an endwall is shown. Where is this to be utilized?
6. Trench detail for storm pipe needed.
7. Sanitary connection to building should be shown and labeled.
8. A construction entrance pad should be provided.
9. An editorial comment— the use of letters or numbers on the plan corresponding to
notes and labels elsewhere on the sheet is not, in my opinion, the best way of
having information shown and understood. It can be confusing and can be
overlooked. It causes a concern that some design features may not be built
because of oversight or confusion in the field.
