A 19-minute time of concentration was used for the runoff calculations for existing conditions. A 23-minute time of concentration was used for the runoff calculations for the proposed conditions. The calculations include a fully developed adjacent lot draining through a drainage easement to the rear yard drain. Conclusions More than sufficient capacity will exist in the system to handle a 10 year+ storm. Introduction The subject of this drainage study is approximately 1.4± acres located on the south west side of Commerce Way in South Windsor, Connecticut_ Under existing conditions, the site drains to the north west side of the property. The proposed improvements to the site include the construction of a Office/warehouse with parking for lb vehicles, and a storm water management system. Collection of storm water will be through a series of catch basins to be connected to an existing drainage pipe adjacent to the property. An existing catchbasin will be changed to manhole at the rear of the property and a doghouse manhole will be added along the common driveway between properties. Storm water detention is provided by a common detention area which is part of the Industrial park. Methodology Both the Rational& SCS method were used to determine 2, 10, 25, 50 and 100 year storm discharges for pre-existing. The rational method was used proposed conditions. Triangular hydrographs were generated and flood routed through the designed detention basin and storage by the use of the Storage Indication Method of flood routing. l_TA.tEfl L k3A3lN' DMH p7' 1:1 I. 1 `.
