1. The applicant is requesting a one year temporary and conditional permit for two
storage units (8 'X 20' and 8' X 40')to be located behind the existing building at 253
Chapel Road, I-291 Corridor zone. These units will be placed on an existing gravel
parking area.
2. This applicant received ZBA for a temporary and conditional permit for these
containers since 1991. At one time there was a ZBA approval for a total of four
containers, two of which encroached into the building setbacks.
3. The applicant submitted a revised site plan application that shows the permanent
location of the storage containers of two containers on the westerly side of the building
for site plan approval. The PZC denied that application on 11/12/97. The Commission
concerns were creating permanent outdoor storage in the I-291 Corridor Development
zone. At that time the Commission had suggested that applicant either remove the
storage containers or apply for a one year T&C permit with the understanding that the
containers would have to be removed at that time.
4. If this application is approved, the planning department has no modifications to
request.

Dear Ms. Baldwin:
Re: Appl #97-62P, Amendment to Site Plan of Development
We regret to advise you that the Planning & Zoning Commission voted on November 12, 1997 to
deny the above-referenced application. The concern of the Commission was outdoor storage in the
I-291 Corridor Development zone. The Commission suggested you to either move the containers or
apply for a one (1) year temporary and conditional permit. The Commission also voted to waive the
fee for the temporary and conditional permit.
If you have any questions feel free to call the Planning Department at 644-2511, ext. 252.
Very truly yours,
PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION

Dear Ms. Baldwin:
Re: Appl #97-101 P, Temporary & Conditional Permit
We regret to advise you that the Planning & Zoning Commission voted on March 10,
1998 to deny the above-referenced application. Since outdoor storage is not permitted
in the I-291 Corridor Development zone, the Commission was reluctant to renew a
permit for temporary storage as the Commission felt that current outdoor storage at
the site does not demonstrate a high level of commitment to maintaining the aesthetics
of the I-291 zone.
Very truly yours,
PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION
